Completion Date: 1998

Project Type: Addition

Square Foot Data: 21,000sf

Construction Cost: $1.4M

This project added 7,000sf to the 14,000sf existing 4-story structure that was built in 1905. The addition was designed to complement the original design and blend nicely with the University's historic row of buildings. This front facade of the University faces the State Capitol and includes the oldest building on campus, built in 1867. The new 3-story addition is separated visually from the existing structure and detailed to give a modern crisp interpretation without distancing itself from the historic. A student gallery, classroom and seminar rooms, along with printmaking and painting studios are located in the new wing.
