In August of 2006, Soderstrom Architects was retained by Old Mill Development LLC to develop a new residential, commercial, and recreational community design. The total build out of the project includes 200,000 sf of commercial/retail, 280 condominium units, 45 live-over-work units, an eco-hotel and a new boat moorage for roughly 100 boats. Another feature includes a public nature trail along the bay side of the site. The long range Master Plan received input from the community, the port and County stake holders.

As a result of the Old Mill Master Plan process, the City and Port of Garibaldi retained Soderstrom Architects to develop the Long Range Vision for the Garibaldi Urban Renewal Agency to tie future growth of the City and port into an overall comprehensive plan.
